  1. Tonilyn, sorry to take so long to reply, I was out of town, without my computer, for the weekend. No, I don't have any reply to my message.
  2. Are you sure you put the needle in correctly? What machine do you have?
  3. ascis, you are likely to get more responses by starting a new post with your question, rather than adding on to an eight year old post. You can ask you dealer for this information, too. Good luck with your new machine!
  4. Well, after lots of thought, I went with my Circle Lord Jester boards. I really like how it looks, and so do my daughter and son-in-law!
  5. Lora, sorry no one has answered yet. I don't know how to fix this, but I suggest sending an e-mail to service. Good luck!
  6. Barb, editing your post to include the brand of the bobbins and the quantity will help you sell them.
  7. I believe Ultimate 1 machines took "L" bobbins. The "M" bobbin was a relatively new option when I bought my machine in 2011.
  8. Deb, will you be moving your machine yourself, or having movers do it? We moved last year, but less than an hour away, and we moved my machine ourselves. I wrapped the rails in a lot of bubble wrap, as well as the table. The trickiest part was getting everything in my van, and it took us more than one trip. The guy who came out to estimate the moving job looked relieved when I told him we would be moving Emmeline ourselves. Sorry I don't have any advice about using movers. If you are on Facebook, you may want to ask this question there, in the We Love APQS group.
  9. "Lots of stops and starts with concentric circles." Good point, Shana!
  10. Thanks, Sue and Shana. I do have the CL Swirls boards, and thought about that. On FB, concentric circles were suggested, which also sounds interesting to me. I bought the CL circle tool from someone on this forum, but have not used it yet. I will have to try drawing both these ideas on a picture to see what I think!
  11. This is 1/4 of my daughter and son-in-law's wedding quilt. Pattern is Brewster's Choice by Jinny Beyer. I'm having trouble coming up with quilting ideas. Not great at freehand feathers, pebbles, etc. Not bad at rulers, and I do have some Circle Lord boards. Have not been able to master pantos, though. Any and all suggestions appreciated. (Batting will be Quilters Dream wool, backing will be two or three of the fabrics in the front, as the shop did not have enough of any one fabric for the back. Planning to use pale grey SoFine thread.) TIA!
  12. AnyStitch67, you have tagged on to a post that is almost 4 years old. You may get a better answer by starting a new post with your question. Sorry i can answer your question myself.
  13. Do you measure the quilt tops before loading? That would give you advance warning that there is a problem. If it is always the right side that is longer, I have to wonder if it is something you are doing as you advance the quilt, as Debbie mentioned above, or if your leaders are not quite square. Debbie gave good advice.
  14. Were you going over a thick seam when either needle broke? Also, the first break could have messed up something on your machine, causing the second needle break. I'm sure more knowledgeable people will chime in.
  15. You would want the patches to the "the star of the show" as far as the quilt is concerned. Maybe a "Trip Around the World" quilt, with the patches in various squares. As far as the quilting, I'm pretty sure it would have to be freehand, and not go through the patches, as they tend to be very thick. Please share pictures when it's done!
  16. Wool batting is also nice and warm. I love Quilter's Dream Wool.
