Bag for Charity Quilts

Recommended Posts

I have a number of quilts I've just completed for Cancer Care Canada to be given to patients taking chemo. My question is, I would like to do up a simple bag for the patient to be able to easily carry the quilts to their treatment centers. I had thought about a pillow case to match the quilt, but that wouldn't have any handles. Any suggestions?

Make a stuff bag--a pillowcase-shaped bag with a drawstring top. Easy to make with either one long piece of fabric, seamed up both sides or from two rectangles. Use the fatter, soft cotton rope for the drawstring. After treatment it can have multiple uses and is washable.
