delld
Well I thought I would start this subject again today to get it going again! I'm finally feeling better after months of the Florida crud. Have quilted several quilts and they have gone home. SO over the week end I sat down with my Bernina and she and I put 1 inch scrapes together and left over 2 inch bindings and added borders to several other little quilt I had stated some time last year. This one some one had made the 9 patches, os just added the plain squares and the borders. 002 by delld1964, on Flickr This is the 1600 race using my left over 2 inch bindings. 001 by delld1964, on Flickr Added the borders to these left over blocks that someone gave me. Notice the little snipes so you can see the size of the piece! 013 by delld1964, on Flickr Made two quilts years ago and these were the leftover pieces. Put them together and added the black border. 012 by delld1964, on Flickr Rest of those pieces of the two quilts, 011 by delld1964, on Flickr Remember the quilt my my 21 year old grandson made for his friend last month? These are those corners cut off when sewing the strip together for the 1600 race quilt. 010 by delld1964, on Flickr These are those 1 inch strip left over from a courthouse step and log cabin bunny quilt I made in the 80's LOL 009 by delld1964, on Flickr And the rest of those 1 inch strips! 008 by delld1964, on Flickr Sometime I need to quilt all of these! Thanks for looking and please share what you have been up to! BTW I did get 3 small quilts quilted this week for some friends. I think I need to go rest now! Heirloom Quilter
HI Dell, Sorry to hear about your crud. We've had it in our family. You certainly made good use of all those left over scrap pieces. Beautiful little quilts.
quiltingjoyful51
You can put so pretty backing on the machine and quilt all of those in a row. You'll be able to say you did 4 or 5 in just minutes. They are very cute and such a good way to get those leftovers used up. Thanks for sharing
ffq-lar
Yes, please take a break, Dell! You're making me tired just looking at all the sweet gems you've finished! I think #5 and #6, being made of batiks, are so pretty. But the first one with the tiny four patches is my fave.
Quilting Heidi
I'm working on hand work as we sit in NC waiting for Granddaughter 2. I'm hoping today is the day. Both of my children were born on the 21st and it would be so cool to have a granddaughter born on the 21st. I'm sure her mama won't mind if today is the day, she is ready. I did get a picture of Kailey under her new quilt so I'll share that.

Bonnie H
Dell, you definitely deserve a rest! I'm embarrassed to say that when I get sick, all I do is hold down the couch and here you are quilting like a mad woman! LOL I love your idea of saving leftover binding strips and making a quilt and I adore that log cabin you made!! Our week brought us some fantastic news. DD#1 is expecting sometime in October, we think. Two grand babies in one year! It makes me happy to know my little grand babies will grow up together as cousins close in age! Here's a picture of our babysitting experience on Valentine's eve. Roran was 3 weeks old here.

GrandmaLKB
Really cute little quilts ! There is a lot of CRUD around Iowa, too. So far, we have escaped it, but I know a lot who have not. Now we are bracing for the big winter storm heading our way. As long as we don't lose power, I have plenty of quilting projects to work on until it's over !
