CindyOH
I just wanted to share that George is arriving at my house today! I ordered him at a road show last month. I am so excited! He is an amazing machine, and I can't wait to start quilting with him!

Neher-in-law5
Great news for you. You will enjoy your George so very much. When you have the chance, check out the quilting rings by Martelli. There are two round ones, 8" and 11" and a new rectangle one that I don't have yet. They hold the fabric smoothly (if you have smoothed it out) in place and gives you the space to stitch a design without tugging on the quilt. You still need to puddle the quilt so it doesn't fall over the edge of the table, but there is much less strain on the hands with the rings. They are well worth the money. I need to get the rectangle one so the edges of the final border are held in place without some being missed in the ring and scooching back when reversing with the design movement. Mrs.A
Hi Cindy: Welcome to the forum and to the APQS George family. You made a great decision…George is a terrific machine. Please let us know if you have any questions as you get to know him. Sometimes there is a learning curve when switching from a domestic sewing machine to the big boy. This forum is a tremendous resource for all of us. Wishing you many happy hours of quilting, Nancy in Tucson

CindyOH
Thanks for the welcome. George finally arrived, and is set up and running smoothly. The sample of threads that came with George was a wonderful surprise! With the So Fine thread on top, and the bobbin thread that was loaded in the machine, he is sewing like a dream. I am sure I will have some questions later, but for now, I will just keep quilting away. Thanks again. Cindy
