Just finished this little beauty, very fun to quilt!  

 

Judy Madsen is my inspiration for the borders….

Thanks everyone, you are too kind!  This is hand guided, I don't have a computer…I used a ruler and freehanded the pebbles and feathers on the bird quilt. This one was a lot of fun, I enjoyed doing something different and what I like about modern quilting is the textures that you can play with in the negative space.  I especially like that there are no rules!  You just go for it! This quilt and the bird quilt belong to Mary Kerr who is a quilt appraiser in VA, I am thrilled that she calls on me from time to time to quilt for her exhibits that she puts together….another one that is currently traveling and was at MQX was "Quilt as Desired", I was honored to do two of the quilts in that exhibit.  I think this new one is going to be called Modern meets Vintage, look for it sometime next year….  her website is  http://www.marywkerr.com  She gave me permission to put these on line along with her website.  Again, these were a lot of fun!
