Neher-in-law5
I don't see any need for more quilting in the basket handle around the flower, in fact it might be too much then in that space. This looks great.

Anne from Guam
Love the background! Did you mark it or did you freehand those straight rows?
LindaSteller
Thanks for the photo of a bigger area. I think it's wonderful the way it is. I wouldn't add anything more around that little flower.
K. Szymaszek
Thank you all for your comments and for chiming in. I really didn't want to add any stitching around the flowers as I don't think I could do a good job of it but wasn't sure if it needed it. Anne, I marked the grid. I do as large a section as I can across the quilt, then freehand the design. Then roll and mark again. I leave an area of the marking unquilted and follow those lines up and across as I am starting from the bottom. I hope this makes sense. Just because I tend to count things, I am a few inches from half way and I'm on my 9th bobbin. I am winding my own with so-fine. Lots of thread, lots of time but I think it will be worth it. I hope. Linda, I have reached my likes for the post, but want to tell you I like you too! Thanks for sharing your expertise. I really appreciate it, along with everyone elses. I will say it again, we need more likes than 10.
