Quilted Turtle
Has anyone ever successfully wound a bobbin with Glide thread? I tried to last night, but it kept bouncing out of the tension discs of the bobbin winder...maybe it's not suited for it?
lkl
QT I have wound Glide onto a bobbin with no problems. Try putting a net on the cone of Glide when winding the bobbin, it helps prevent the thread from bouncing out of the bobbin winder tension disc. Sheagatzi
I kind of hold on to the thread loosely between my thumb and forefinger, from just after the top guide before it goes into the small guide to the tension disk. I don't squeeze, but it seems to give just enough tension to not fly out of the disks.
Beachside Quilter
I wind Glide bobbins all the time with no issues. Be sure to have the thread in the proper hole and use a thread net.
jmcclannan
I do the same thing as Andrea. It keeps all my threads from jumping out of the discs.
