ffq-lar
Here's the latest. Hand applique and hand embroidered fun red and white quilt. It's very whimsical with a primitive look to the figures. The applique blocks were done on linen. She brought me the book that the pattern came from and liked the quilting on the original. I freehand feathered the middle, added touches to the applique and filled behind them, CC's in the squares and crosshatched the border. The pink border is a Darlene Epp design from her famous three-book set of designs. The tiny stars in the center were just SIDed so they would stand out. LibbyG
I love all the feathers and the design in the HST. Usually I feather both sides, but it's more interesting with the different designs.
Bonnie H
So much fun quilting to look at!!! What type of batting did you use? The designs really show! You have given me a couple of ideas for 2 bubmble bee quilts that I need to load, though I'm pretty certain I won't be executing them as nicely as you!! ffq-lar
Hi Bonnie. I've convinced a lot of my customers that wool batting makes for great quilts. Thanks for all the great comments!
