Enchanted Quilting
I'm sure this has probably been covered before...but my poor feet and knees are taking a whooppin' from my wood floors. What are some of you using, where did you get them, and are they worth it?? Trip proof would be a lovely bonus!!
Bonnie H
Cadillac mats in the 5/8 inch thickness from ULINE are pretty nice for the money, and you can order them online and save your knees and feet a trip to the store. I would buy them again. I have one for the front of my machine and one for the back. I just bought the 2 foot wide ones that aren't special order. A few times I have tried laying one mat on top of another when I was doing a large custom quilt, but it didn't help any more than just one mat by itself. My feet and knees still hurt using the one mat but it's an improvement. I am thinking of buying a couple of more, smaller in length, for the sides of my frame so when I walk around the frame, I'm always on a mat (I do a lot of pantos). Also, Scholl's P.R.O. Pain Relief Orthotics for Arthritis in my shoes. Love them. They are worth the $11. I have purchased lots of Dr. Scholls inserts and so far I like these the best, but it probably depends on your foot and how you walk and what kind of shoes you wear. I haven't found a pair of shoes that help yet. I spent $175 on a pair of tennis shoes this summer and they haven't helped, but the $11 Scholls have. Oma
I bought two of the expensive ($100 a piece) anti-fatigue mats and I bought three cheap ones ($20 a piece at Lowe's). I can't tell the difference except color. They all work better than nothing on my padded linoleum floors in my room. I would say try the cheap ones first and if you really don't like them Lowe's has a great return policy.
chrisquilter
I purchased mine at Lows, around 20 dollars like Oma said. I just bought one and if I turn it upside down, it will slide very easily along my indoor outdoor carpet (over cement) I love the mat! I would buy more if I thought I needed them. Great Buy
srichardson
I noticed that Costco has them in the store. I didn't price them or check them out but if there is a Costco in your area it may be worth a visit.

Bonnie H
Do the ones at Lowes and Costo have a beveled-type edge? Mine from ULINE do and I'd like to get a couple of mats for the sides of my frame, to connect the mats, so I don't have to walk on concrete, but I'm worried about my husband tripping. He just had his hip replaced. Since many of you have tried the Lowes/Costco mats, I'm curious about trying them but really would like the "bevel" edge.
