pumpkinpatchquilter
Barbara and Nancy's Roseville Album is finally finished! Wheew! I love how this turned out and I'm honored that I was able to work on it...but I'm not gonna lie...I am SO happy to be finished!!!!!!! Even my Mom has started calling it the "monster" quilt. LOL! Out of love of course...because it is beautiful...and SO STINKIN' BIG! It is an over sized King at 140" x 140"....and I am officially sick of cross hatching. LOL I used Invisifil thread for the entire quilt and went through five water soluble markers...it took me about 7 weeks combined with a full day for marking the top, a full day for removing the markings and another day for burying the threads (which I am still finding threads I missed and going back and touching up the occasional blue ink that pops back up). 10590584_849917251688196_2624190889241792040_n by Valerie/Pumpkin Patch Quilter, on Flickr 1422410_849918935021361_934794407280485162_n by Valerie/Pumpkin Patch Quilter, on Flickr 10615498_849919211688000_2562173994949640408_n by Valerie/Pumpkin Patch Quilter, on Flickr 10484912_849918688354719_4944146043883131676_n by Valerie/Pumpkin Patch Quilter, on Flickr 10615990_849918438354744_6549727490669401836_n by Valerie/Pumpkin Patch Quilter, on Flickr

LindaSteller
Wow, that's some awesome quilting. I really like the quilt, with the exception of the white background fabric in the middle. Just something about that is very jarring to me, but otherwise, it's very nice. Your quilting is really superb.
pumpkinpatchquilter
Ahh isn't that funny how that works Linda? I totally love the white in the center! It's actually a very very subtle white with gray pinstripes...the photo doesn't really show the true color...it looks very stark white when in actuality it's a softer grayish white. Thank you for your kind words! I worked my little tail off on this one!

Bliss Quilter
Valerie, Very nice work. Did you stitch around each applique? Post pics of the back please. Your work is always inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
pumpkinpatchquilter
Hi Judith - thank you! Yes, I did stitch around each appliqué - if you click on the photo it will take you to my Flickr album and there are some shots of the back. Unfortunately it is just so big that I cannot get a full shot of the quilt anywhere in my house!

Primitive1
I had a quilt that big twice and I had my dh and dtr hold it over the 2nd floor deck so I could back up in the back yard to get the entire quilt in a picture, it gave a good perspective too on how big those monsters were! You did a fantastic job and this quilt is stunning for the quilting not just it's sheer size...I hope the owner shows it...now...you deserve a good vacation!!!
