smd719
Hi! I haven't used my machine for almost a year. Life has gotten in the way. Anyway...my advance feed doesn't work. Yes, I've read the post from PegLu and tried what was suggested. Didn't work. Any more suggestions please? And can someone tell me how much a new motor costs? It's not listed in the parts list. Thanks in "motor" advance!!
ffq-lar
Do a web search for the size motor you need. If you have a Graingers close to you, you won't need to pay shipping. I must ask, are your toggle switches in the correct positions for the advance to run? Sorry to ask such an obvious question, but mine didn't work and I'd accidentally toggled into the off position. smd719
Holey moley! Found a replacement motor...the original one isn't made anymore. $290 at Graingers!!!! Found a used one for $240, but no warranty on it. They also said that it's meant to go forward only, not reverse, and that's why they wear out quicker. Oh well...looks like I'll be advancing manually for a bit! LOL
barbm
Stephanie, you've called APQS Service, right? Before you spend lots of dollars (or do lots of manual advancing), give them a chance to trouble-shoot for you. That's what they are there for!!
