mscott2611
Help ladies and gents They want to pay edge to edge price but I don't know what to quilt on here. The piecing is not that great. The green squares are very puckery and will not need to be enhanced. I can out line the sun bonnet people but what would your suggestions be for the rest. HELP!!!! shirleyl
They want to pay only for edge to edge. If you want to give them your time you could stitch around the appliqué. I do this if I want to practice something and it will benefit me. I busy and don't have time to play and practice a few things, but I have some customers that let me do what I want and sometimes I just want to play. They want to pay for edge to edge, you can gve them edge to edge without guilt. It looks as tho a baptist fan would be appropriate for this quilt. chickenscratch
I would do a simple meander, which would allow you to "outline" the applique in a way
Quilting Heidi
I'd do as Teresa suggests. A meander and go around the sunbonnets are you go. If they were only paying for e2e I would just meander around the shapes, not really SID.
loraquilts
I'm with Teresa and Heidi. Definitely all over meander and rough outline of appliques as you meander around them. Plus depending on how dense you do the meander, you might be able to resolve most of the pucker issues.
Zora
This is not a very nice quilt, and has many construction issues. If they only want to pay for E to E, I would do something loopy and flowery over the whole thing, including over the applique. The quilting is going to be all that holds the applique on, eventually. The appliques are large in relation to their background, and I don't see a benefit to trying to go around them. Quilt it quickly within their budget and get on with it. It's going to be a nicer quilt when you are done than it is now.
chickenscratch
The first thing I would do is press this top, to try to get some of the waveyness out
Sheri Butler
Wow. Well, here's my 2 cents. I wouldn't spend any extra time doing anything to this. It looks like a shotty try at a something from e-bay. Sorry.... So, in all honesty, meander the whole thing and get it out the door!
