rineps
Hi Friends, I want to move my laser from the back to the front of my Millie - Does anyone know where I can find the mounting bracket to move the laser from the back to the front that would mount to the front left side of Millie. Thanks Friends. Patrice
ffq-lar
Hi Patrice. Click on the web site under my signature to look at the Topper. The arm that extends to the left can be fitted to hold your laser and are sold separately. A cable extends your laser connection to the end of the arm and you can use your laser to stitch drawn designs placed on a platform laid across your front rollers. The biggest benefit is it eliminates the distortion caused by the angle of the laser from the top of the machine. And you can be very accurate. Bonnie in Ok
So tell me about using the laser from the front of the machine? Do you use a paper pattern laid up front and then follow it with the laser?
ffq-lar
That's exactly it, Bonnie. If you have a "pattern port" or some other table to span the rollers and sit securely, you can follow the design with the laser. It sits about an inch or so above the paper. Great for your own block designs to place the exact thing in multiple blocks. Draw your own or use purchased designs. The stitchable field is about 18" square.
