stitch regulator

I was having trouble too! Here is what Dawn wrote on another post titled Help......trouble with my stitch regulator. It helped me and I am back in action!

Try to determine which direction the machine is not stitching correctly by moving it only forward and backward, then only left and right. Once you determine the direction that is not working, then check that the encoder wheel for that direction is still making good contact with the larger wheel in which it runs.

If the machine sputters left to right, then check the encoder wheel you'll see on the carriage axle (the one on the back rail of the machine that travels L-R). If it sputters front to back, then check the encoder wheel on the sewing head (the black box that's just ahead of the thread stand.)

Here are a couple of helpful links that show you what to do:

I gave my machine a rest yesterday and was getting ready to contact Amy but decided to try it out first so I was fresh with everything. Still had the problem right to left stitch regulator. Decided to unplug everything again and blew it out, reconnected and now it's working. Lets keep fingers crossed and see it it last. A piece of fuzz? Thanks to everyone and especially Angela Clark an APQS rep.who called me to help answer some questions.

Answer: Bliss left/right encoder box is in the carriage. Still don't know if you can adjust the encoder wheel closer, as you could on the old frame. Inquiring mind would like to know.
