ffq-lar
Here's a link to the latest off the frame. It's a bright Giant Dahlia made from batiks. I used thread colors to match the petals--So Fine and BottomLine--with BL taupe pre-wound bobbins. She brought Soft and Bright poly batting, which I love to use. The background is my version of McT-ing and I outlined some flowers that were part of the design in the batik fabric, just for some interest. The center was a bit full, so I let the batting do the work and stitched a couple of lines of petals to nail it down. This is my next-to-last before the end of the month. Arrow right for details when you get there. Thanks for looking! https://www.flickr.com/photos/larech/16028936416/in/photostream/

Zora
This is wonderful, Linda. These are not my favorite quilts, and I believe this is the first one I have seen that I really thought was gorgeous. I agree, the scattered daisies in the McTavishing are a wonderful touch. Very lovely...and I may just steal this idea for the quilt I am working on now. Thanks for posting.
