delld
Someone donated the center of the quilt to our guild. It only had sashing and no borders. Nothing popped. So I looked in my stash and someone had given me the bright blue and the pink rose print. It was purrrrfect. I quilted it with Quilt Path using Patricia Ritter's and Leisha Farnsworth's Flowering Plum Panto. Using the quilt path I broke a needle which bent and torn the quilt. So when I went to purchase binding I made sure I had enough to applique and embroider the 3 butterflies. Can you find all three? 20150329_151835 by delld1964, on Flickr 20150329_151852 by delld1964, on Flickr As always there are more pictures on flickr! Thanks for looking. Enchanted Quilting
Clever! Luckily this is the type of quilt that would fit appliques like that. Good save.

ffq-lar
This is very impressive, Miss Dell. Faced with a pretty-enough sampler, you found perfect fabric to surround it with and the perfect design to quilt on top. Then when faced with a repair, you found a solution that not only fixed it, but enhanced it. I love how your brain works! Great job!
