judyr
I accidently got dry erase marker on a quilt. How can I take off the mark? Thanks for any help you can give me!!
dancing bear
try a q-tip dipped in Dawn Dishwashing liquid. I did this early on and was able to gently rub the mark out. Rinse gently with another q-tip dipped in water. Keep trying!
BBB
There is a Face book post "how to get permanent marker out of anything"--it says hand sanitizer for clothes. My daughter the (for real) Chef swears by this, as they use Sharpies to label everything. Now chef coats are not fine cotton.... Uniform fabrics are stain-resistant and meant to take a beating--so I'd try the Dawn first!
Sue E.
Also try dabbing a cloth soaked with rubbing alcohol on the spot (hair spray will also work). This method takes a while with repeated applications, but it does work. Ask me how I know.
GMALKB
Hair spray takes out ball point ink, I know...........we had some white tablecloths nearly ruined at an event one time when the parents let their kiddies draw on them..........with ball point ink pens ! I took them home and sprayed with cheap hairspray, washed as normal and was amazed that it all came out. I also used Mother's ????..........it's a spot remover...........comes in a small bottle........but it works too.
