Lemon Tree Tami
After using Freddie with the IQ to do pantos, I thought that it was time to try out some FMQ. This little baby quilt is one of the charity quilts that my quilt guild gave me to quilt for them. The sashings and borders are still done with the IQ but the long flying geese strips were FMQ using Kim Stotsenberg's tutorial on her blog. I have to say that it was awesome being able to switch from computer to all Freddie, who's Blissed, at the touch of a button. Of course the hand guided bits took a long time compared to the computer guided parts but it was fun to do. It's not great but some little baby will be warm in it. More practice is on the to-do list. But maybe next time I'll put on Freddie's ruler base and try the SID with a ruler. My stitches decided to go walkabout from the ditch at times. From the first pink polka dot triangle to the last one there was a bit of a difference.
