Pattern Board Design Selection Help

Recommended Posts

I've been practicing my pantagraphs but still not real good at it...still a bit shakey.  I would like to order some pattern (groovy) boards from Ron with R&S Designs (I have some from him now) that I can use to do an "overall edge to edge" design on quilts.  I've attached pictures of 4 different designs from R&S,

From your perspective which design do you think I could use more often than the others.  I know the design of the quilt has a lot to do with selecting designs but for someone that just wants edge to edge quilting what would you use the most.  I've seen pictures of quilts that all of these designs were used on and really like all of them.

Last Sunday in Sunday School, the sweet ladies that I teach (I'm filling in for a lady teacher that has been in hospital for 6 months) gave me a card of appreciation...they are always doing that.  This time when I got home and opened the card they had included a Visa gift card so I want to use it for something that I think is valuable and that will help pay for the pattern boards.

Thanks David

I personally like the Clamshells with flair. It can look traditional, modern or Asian, depending on the fabric it is used on. Second choice would be the swirls but it looks harder to use because the swirls would look best nested with the large one over the small one..so shifting back and forth each row.
