longarmlynda
Hi all I have just used the last MR needle which came with my Millie and my supplier has sent 134 SAN 6 10Nm 110/18 needles. Can you please confirm whether these are OK to use since everywhere I have searched it says to use MR needles. Many thanks in advance. RunningThreads
From what I have read from Groz Beckert the San 6 was developed for sewing denim and is very good for sewing frontwards and backwards. The MR or sometimes called the San 11 is the one developed for the multi directional sewing we do. They will fit but may be more prone to breaking and skipped stitches. Send them back and get the right ones. There are many suppliers that stock the right needles Superior Threads, Bobbin Central and of course APQS. Tell us where you are and I am sure someone nearby will lend or sell you a package until you get the new ones. Nigel
jimerickson
The needle should be san 11. The ones you've received don't have as deep a scarf in them, and you'll probably have problems with skipped stitches. Since your machine is timed for a san 11 needle, your hook will also probably hit the needle. Jim
