Janice
I lost the little spring or whatever that little thing in the bobbin is. Can I buy it at a sewing machine store or is it unique to apqs? Also, I am using wool batting in the quilt and am using a small piece of the batting to remove the chalk marks. It works better than other battings or anything I have used to remove the chalk and Bohn pencil marks. thanks, Janice
JBQuilts
Hi, Janice. I think that is unique to apqs. I have used the bobbin genie with some success. For me it seems to depend on what thread I am using. Also it should be inserted with the rounded side up/facing out, I think. Since it doesn't work all the time I don't use it much and forget. I have purchased them at the LQS. Hope this helps. Also, some have said they used two together. I'll have to try that. Thanks for the tip about the batting. Sharond
Janice, If you go to www.apqs.com then click "online store" tab. Once in the store, click "Parts and Notions", scroll down until you see the "Bobbin Case Spring Brake". It is a good idea to have a few on hand.
