Customer Service is A #1!

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to APQS for always providing amazing customer service.  Right now I'm dealing with an issue with Lowes and Samsung and all I want to tell them is they could really take a lesson from you!  I have never had anything but quick responses and so much help, even on holidays!  You are amazing and I just wanted to say you were, I don't even have a problem unless of course you can fix my 5 month old fridge  :D

APQS does provide excellent customer service, even for those of us who purchase our machines used.

If your Samsung ice maker went out like mine.  It took about 4 visits for them to finally say it was dead, and they could not fix it.  Which took us out of the warranty period, so they said they would not replace it.  After a letter to Samsung, they agreed to refund us our full purchase price, though we had to cut off the cord at the housing and send them a photo of said destruction.  It took a while for things to get done, but in the end Samsung did stand behind their product.  Though I have to say, we did not get another Samsung fringe.

Take care, and best of luck.

I heard nothing but bad things about appliances with expensive electronics--especially Samsung. A local repairman told us that buying a reconditioned fridge from a used appliance place is the only thing he recommends! Our older fridge wasn't holding temp and luckily Den was able to order a part online and fix it.

The Samsung ice maker went out for us, though it was holding temperature.  The ice machine just would not work, nor could it be replaced.

I would agree with going lower tech with new appliances.  We had to get a new washer recently; jokingly it was my Christmas gift.  We had to go to a few stores to find a high efficiency washer with no push button or high tech displays.  Our repair man, said the old school rotary dial knobs rarely go out, and if they do they can be easily replaced and reasonable prices.

I agree about the new appliances.  I bought an expensive Samsung stainless steel dishwasher thinking it would last a long time.  WRONG.  It would not dry the dishes and took 3 hours to run a load.  It finally would not fill up to wash.  I replaced it with a cheaper model (not a Samsung).  I also bought a new washing machine at the same time I got the Samsung dishwasher.  It has had problems too but a repairman told my husband what was wrong with it over the phone because he had worked on so many of them.  I really wish I had my old washer back with the rotary dial knobs too.

Heidi, Is your fridge a Samsung?  My friend Anna has a two year old Samsung and is is currently not keeping anything cold.  This is after they had to replace the ice-maker in it shortly after it was purchased.

Chris yes it is a Samsung and it is only 5 months old!  I'm told the temperature sensor is bad.  The fridge thinks it is at temp but it really isn't.  If you unplug and replug it resets it so I keep doing that when I notice the bread in the freezer is thawing.  I'm disgusted by their lack of customer service the most.  Things go bad but it is how you deal with it that matters to me.  I don't want to hear excuses, I want to hear what you can do to make up for it and that you are making every effort to get it fixed quickly.  This started a week ago and I still have no part and no working fridge.  I've had calls from both Lowes Exec. team and Samsung exec and they say they have escalated the problem but NOTHING.  I will NEVER buy a Samsung product again and I won't ever buy a major appliance through Lowes either.  I bought 4 new kitchen appliances and wish I hadn't gone through them.  IT is infuriating.  I expect long service out of my appliances and 5 months doesn't even come close.  It seems nothing lasts any more.  I say we go back to the old days when "technology" doesn't go bad so quickly.  I'm so thankful for my APQS machine!  Works like a workhorse and CUSTOMER Service is the tops!

I agree about the durability of a lot of things these days.  But in defense of the manufacturers, they aren't the only one to blame.  Government regulations are at the heart of a lot of these issues.  Chris, your dishwasher was built to be energy efficient, quiet, and water stingy.  I dare say that it does that.  But in order to accomplish that, they had to over look the actually washing and drying of the dishes.  Plenty of blame to go around.  Jim
