DoryJM
This is a 65 x 65 Amish-type quilt that my customer made for a man. He likes geometric quilting (i.e., no feathers!) and I have a few ideas, but thought I would share it here to see what you guys come up with. So...I'm open...hit me with your ideas!!!! Please!!! Anything and everything is appreciated!
dlnewell
To work in some curved lines, in the center square you could use curved templates and make four melons (corner to center) and do curved crosshatching to fill in the spaces. In the outer green triangles I would quilt across and down, following the corner, say maybe 1/2 inch width apart. I would piano key the outer border. In the narrow borders, you could stitch x's, as for crosshatching, and then use a small curve to quilt cc's. I hope what I'm writing accurately suggests what my mind is picturing. I don't have one of those tablets for drawing.

zeke
Find a stain glass design or a design that would be rustic. Like wrought iron, somewhere in that area. zeke.
Busy Quilting
Egg and Dart in the smaller borders, swags in the outer borders, square crosshatching with infills like Sue Heinz does.
Quilting Heidi
Lyn's suggestion of egg & dart is perfect, goes well with almost everything. I'd do a lot of straight line work, cross hatching and maybe some relief work, well that is what I call it. LOL You quilt squares, triangles, whatever shape you want and then dense fill around them to make them pop.
