Enchanted Quilting
The crosshatching on the quilt is unexpected and therefore perfect for the quilt. Kind of like a cool trellis behind the blossoms. Love what you did!

RoseCity Quilter
Love this and especially your quilting Ardelle. I'm curious as to how long it took you to quilt it. It is gorgeous! As I am a shop owner and get lots of interruptions, it is really hard to tell how long I actually quilt a quilt. However this one was on the frame for 8 days. LibbyG
This is my favorite so far, Ardelle. I love the quilt design. You even outlined the green before you stitched the block around the big star. The double crosshatching is beautiful. Two questions. When you stitch a line and then stitch away from it, hope this makes sense, how far away? Do you make the lines 1/4 inch, 1/2 inch??? When you stitched the block outline and had to go around the spikes, are you starting and stopping or just going up the spike and back down? RoseCity Quilter
Thank you Libby! I stitch the lines you talk about, or I call them outlines, 1/2" most of the time. Occasionally 3/4" on larger spaces. And when I do the block outline, I stitch everything ( the outline, background fill etc) as I go and SID around points to get to next section. I avoid spots and starts....
