Sheila S.
I am having trouble with the roller brakes not staying tight. I have tightened them several times but it only last for a little while. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get this fixed?
RunningThreads
Sheila If you have the older wooden one there is a set screw you can tighten on the nut to stop it backing off. On the newer metal ones a drop or two of thread locker on the threads and then adjust, once the thread locker dries you won't have any more issues. Thread locker is available at any hardware store, loctite is the most common brand. Nigel
Sheila S.
Thank you, Nigel. I will certainly try the thread locker. I just looked it up and there are several different ones. Is the one that I attached the one you are referring to.
T Row Studio
Locktite blue can be loosened off but the red is almost permanent ( use that with caution ) I would use the blue Sheila.
RunningThreads
Terry is right, the blue is perfect for the job. Nigel
