chickenscratch
My Millie is doing something strange. I will be sewing along, doing great with no problems, then it will suddenly vroom and race the needle and break the thread. Then it works fine again for an hour or so. Any ideas? Mary Beth
What year is your machine? I always blame the #8 screw....but that is probably just me.
qltnbe
I think my first thing to look at would be loose connections.
HeidiP
My initial thought is electrical, loose connection, brushes or a board. It sounds like it's going in and out of SR. Mode. Does that describe what's happening. If you set your stitch length/needle speed to a lower number, does it race slower? Where on the table is it happening? Front/back? More on one end than the other? Is it breaking the thread because it's sewing in one spot? Does it start working better on it's own, or do you have to stop and start over? Do you turn the machine off and back on? Is there any thread or lint around the encoder? Have you unplugged and re-plugged things in? Was anything loose? Give me a call Teresa and we'll try to figure it out.
