FloridaMissy Posted August 27, 2016 Report Share Posted August 27, 2016 OMG, I just turned on my long arm to work on a quilt and it started stitching 90 mph. I quickly shut it off and moved it off the quilt un-threaded the machine and turned it back on again and smoke started pouring out of the top of the back of the head. I opened it up after it cooled down and the circuit board and a major cable is fried. Will call the office on Monday and make arrangements to ship it in for repair. Has this happened to anyone else? I took the top and back cover off the machine and the black cable that runs on the right side is burnt right where it connects to the circuit board. Thank goodness for the lifetime warranty. mswings Posted August 28, 2016 Report Share Posted August 28, 2016 Yes, I had the same thing happen to my 2008 Millie. It was a bad circuit board. Easy to replace. FloridaMissy Posted August 30, 2016 Author Report Share Posted August 30, 2016 Millie on her way back to the factory. After opening the back cover I could easily see the burnt circuit board. Unfortunately it also burned the sheathing cover the cable and some of the white ribbon cable was melted. OMG what a job in taking it apart and shipping it back.
