rdp
I removed my canvas to sew pockets in order to insert the rods needed for the grips. My question is "how do I reattach the canvas to the bar?" it seems to have been both taped and glued on. Has anyone done this and what have you used to reattach? Thank you for your help. This forum is a wealth of information and I know someone out there can help.
Mary Beth
Well, I did not remove my leaders, but used my LA to stitch the channel for the rods. I would try double stick carpet tape. You could check with APQS to see what they suggest.
MaryQuiltsTx
For some reason duct tape sticks in my head. I read all the older posts and I seem to remember reading that. The leaders are so long that once you tape them and roll them up, you will never, or should never, have to roll them out so far that the tape could be pulled loose. You could try the search engine at the top and see if a topic or two pops up.
RunningThreads
Mary has it right. Masking tape or duct tape as you will never roll them all the way out again. Nigel
Gator
I tried to do a search but came up with zero info. There's several quilters here that have changed out their canvas after there's wore out/stretched. Hopefully they will chime in and help you. I sewed my pockets for the red snappers on my machine with out removing the canvas.
Oma
I used duct tape and one time double-sided carpet tape. Either works fine.
