    Modifying light setup on Millenium

Here is an after market LED system with both bright white and ultraviolet lighting I made for my wife's machine and then started to releasing it on the market. Designed for your older model APQS machines that have fluorescent bulbs. It's easy to install and increases your viewing space while giving you the ease of great lighting for your work space. LED lihgting on Millennium

Hi Sue, So sorry I missed your post for so long. The fluorescent is around 400 lumina and the LED light is around 570. The light is direct on the work area where the fluorescent is ubstructive and not direct. Hope this helps Mike
  6. Sally, The screws used on LED light rails are 8-32 x 1/2". The Quiltazoid bracket is pretty thin and there is plenty of threads left on the screws so these should work. If you order a light let me know on the comments that you have a Quiltazoid and I'll through in a couple longer screws for the left side just to be safe. Mike
  7. Oma, They should. If you can email me from the web site I'll send you a template of the light so you can verify. Mike
  8. If your model has only one plug on the left side of the head (for the handle controls) than the fluorescent bulb connection runs up behind the handle assembly and connects behind the front control panel. We came up with a thin 1/4" spacer that goes behind the handle assembly allowing the new power supply cable to run up behind the handle assembly to it's connection. It's a simple fix now. Regarding power supply options: Most common is the in-line power supply that uses the existing fluorescent plug. Some after market components like the IQ use this light plug so another option for the LED power supply is the plug-in version that uses the laser receptacle at the back of the machine. Heidi, thanks for your nice review on our LED light system and installation comments for your model of Millie! Sheri, you should have yours any day now. Let me know how it works out. Mike http://www.mcautomationinc.com/led2
  9. Right now running 2-3 weeks till we get caught up. First of April will be 1 week.
  10. Hi Sheri, I did receive it and just sent confirmation. Please let me know if you don't receive it. Thanks, Mike
  11. Yes it is compatible. The light system and power supply are both clear of the Quilt Cam camera and display.
  12. Glad you like it Sheri and your right it does plug into the current fluorescent plug. Mike
  13. Thanks Heidi it was received, current shipping is running 3 weeks but I'm working on reducing that currently. You will love the improved view and lighting. Hi Cathy the light system does not interfere with the Micro-drive handle/bracket. The light system slides in behind it, just under the head portion only. Thanks, Mike
  14. Heidi, It has the same level of brightness as the APQS. I compared them side by side. If your not 100% satisfied you can return it. Mike
