  3. I am about to start a customer wall hanging with machine embroidered panels that are quite stiff. Fabric appears to be a light weight canvas, and there is a woven interfacing ironed on the back as well as some unremoved stabilizer in some places. My question is what is the recommended thread/ needle combo? I once tried to quilt an art quilt piece with several collage layers on a stiff interfacing backing and broke several needles. Finally finished it on my domestic machine and broke a needle there as well! Any guidance before I start will be greatly appreciated. I have a Millie.

  5. I have a Bernina 880 that is sewing a beautiful stitch, until I go to embroider. I have cleaned the machine, bobbin case, bobbin area, oiled, cleaned the sensors in the bobbin are, made sure the threading is correct for embroidery, tried three different bobbins, and I am still getting interruptions in my embroidery with the bobbin message on the screen. I am so frustrated! Is there something I'm missing? Thanks for any assistance and ideas! I love this machine, but...

  7. I am beginning to work on a new quilt that has blocks divided by this embroidery stitch...not sure if I should just outline inside each block and then do the background fill or just fill right up to the stitches....if I do the 2nd idea, then I need to stabilize and wonder how it would look if I just ran a SID down through the centers of these red embroidery stitches...I am using clear monopoly to outline and stabilize and a white thread to do the background work... any ideas? Thanks!

  13. Selling my Bernina Artista 165 I am the second owner of the machine, and used it once to make a costume. The previous owner was my friend, and I know she took very good care of it. It has been serviced and got a clean bill. The machine comes with all the standard feet, manual, case, embroidery attachments and the original boxes in which it came. When I purchased the machine from my friend, I bought 15 additional bobbins, volume 1 guide to the feet, and a darning foot, and the extra stand up case at the Local Bernina dealer. Those are included with the machine. I am asking $1500. (not including the shipping) Item can be picked up at my location. The machine is located in Murrieta, Ca. Please contact me by phone or email. 760-917-4091 or cindeequilts2@gmail.com My name is Cindee. (Feet # 20, 21 and 57 are included as well as a ruffler attachment) Some how, these did not get in with my posting.
