  5. I am selling my 2005 APQS Millie. My career has taken a new path and I don't have the free time I would like to play with her. She is lonely and needs to find a loving home. I purchased her from the original owner in Pennsylvania. (My husband drove a flatbed trailer 12 hours from our home to bring this sweet girl home to us!). She was fully serviced in 2011 and wasn't used much after that, as her owner sadly passed away. I purchased her in 2014 and have taken excellent care of her. She is cleaned after each use and oiled appropriately. She will be sent home to her new family with LOTS of extras (See below). Asking $9000 or best offer. Purchaser is responsible for take-down (we will help and explain how to set it all back up), arrangement for transportation/local pick-up. I live approximately 45 minutes west of Louisville, KY in Southern Indiana. Contact me within this post or my cell-phone at 812-972-4667. Thank you!! Millie comes with: * Auto Quilt Advance with foot control * 12' Deluxe Table * Hartley Base Expander * Hartley Fence * Micro Drive * Leader Grips * Laser pointer for use with Pantos * LOTS of Pantos * 3 half used boxes of magnetic bobbins * Needles * Lots of thread * LOTS of quilting books * Several (a huge stack!) of Stencils and powder to use with stencils * Lots of Rulers * Rolling saddle seat stool * and probably more that I'm forgetting! These are the only pics I currently have. Will take more and post soon, or text me for other pictures.
  6. I'm negotiating with a potential buyer for my lenni. Here's a couple of questions for you Millie owners who have removed the thread cutter: 1. Does the standard Hartley base fit on the Millie if the thread cutter is removed? 2. This may be a silly question: Without the thread cutter, are there wires to deal with? Does it attach to the housing, such that the housing is in tact after the cutter is removed. Maybe just a picture of Millie's side after the thread cutter is removed will fully answer this question. Thanks so much!!

  19. From a 12 foot table. Essentially like new. Still wrapped from the move. White color. This came with an essentially unused Millie. I cannot use it because of the location of my machine. A great buy if you need better lighting! Located in Waco, Tx (home of Fixer Upper:) Central Texas. The screws were lost in the move, but available at Lowes or Home Depot - (2)5/16" and ( 5)1/2". Retails for $795.
  20. I have tried using Magna Glide Bobbins and just can't get it right (the tension). I tried today with Glide on the top. Bobbin thread kept showing on the top. I adjusted and adjusted and it continued. How do you put them in the bobbin? What kind of tension works? Do you leave the spring in the bobbin case? Any tips would be appreciated. Nancy E.

  23. Hi I am helping my father in law sell his 2000 millie. This machine was my mother in laws and she recently passed away from cancer. I am pretty sure it is a 14ft. The machine was purchased new in 2000 and they paid 17,000. The machine is in excellent condition. We are guessing only 30 quilts were made. We have all of the paper work that came with it. The machine was well taken care of and was serviced.I really dont know alot more about the machine, I am helping because my father in law has a trake an is very hard to understand when talking on phone. Price is $7000 or b/o. Please feel free to give me a call at 763-443-8597 or email me at mrcrt800@yahoo.com
  24. Yesterday I drove three and a half hours from Chicago to Dubuque to attend a road show and check out the APQS machines. What a great experience that was! They answered questions I hadn't even thought of asking! We had a great time--just me and about 8 women--and got to play on all five of the APQS machines. I went pretty sure I was not going to buy because my local quilt shop had made me a great offer on one of the long arms they carry. After about 5 minutes playing on one machine, I was sure I was NOT buying the machine from my LQS, and had to have an APQS. By the time I quit playing, I had been convinced by the machines themselves that I needed a Millie in my home. Out came the credit card and a deposit was made! If you or anyone you know is considering one of these machines, have them go to a road show first--they made a sweet deal for those of us who came to the road show--free fabric advance system, free quilt glide, and $$$$ off the list price too! Well worth 7 hours in the car! Now I have to wait for my money to come in (I'm waiting for an inheritance to clear and that's buying the machine for me). I have never been a particularly patient person. I'm filling up my time by getting the room ready. I need to move my domestic machine into another area of our house--so I'm putting a new floor down in that room this weekend, and setting that room up as my quilting studio. My Millie will have a studio of her own. Getting all of the "stuff" moved around will help me fill my time (I have to move the elliptical machine and the treadmill to the basement to turn the back room into my sewing space). SO EXCITED!!!! Kevin
  25. Posting for a friend: For Sale: 2004 Millennium on a 12-foot table ( a peach of a machine!) Located in northern Ohio Will deliver for FREE within 200 miles of Cleveland 12 - foot table Fabric Advance Lots and lots of goodies and extras included: Microdrive Handles Hartley Base Expander Kit Hartley Spool Holder Hartley Fence for straight lines and circles (INCLUDING Hartley Stencils (animals, ovals, hearts, butterflies) Lots of templates from Gadget Girls Manuals to assemble and use machine Original box and manual for maintenance Asking $8,500 for the entire package--a great deal! We hate to part with her, but we've downsized and Millie takes up too much room. I have only quilted for myself so she's got a lot of life left in her for someone looking for a great deal on a machine with very few hours on her. I will gladly send photos if requested. For more information contact: miller2540@aol.com I purchased my "Millie" in the spring of 2004. Being from Ohio shipping was a problem. When my machine was finished we just happened to be at an RV Rally in Iowa. To save the shipping cost we went to Carroll, loaded the machine in our RV and drove it home. Millie is a peach of a machine. I haven't had a bit of trouble with her. All of these extras listed above add quite a lot to the value of the machine. I have manuals to assemble the machine and frame, the original box for the machine head and a manual for maintenance. This machine has a lot more work in her. She is a workhorse of a machine. I would not be selling my Millie if I hadn't downsized and no longer have room for her. She is ready for a good new home!
