luv2kwilt
Hi all, Quick question--do any of you have any pictures of bargello quilts that you have quilted? I am doing my first and don't know just what to do on it. Any suggestions and pictures would be very appreciated! Thanks! Mary Beth
I don't have one...but you can always go to webshots.com and type in what you are looking for. Good stuff always comes up. Also, you can google it and then hit "images" and you will get tons of pictures too. Hope this helps. I do it every time I get stumped and need some inspiration. If I don't find it there....then I come here...someone always has an opinion
Quilting Heidi
I've only done a Bargello jacket. It quilted up pretty quickly and I had only had my machine less than 3 months when I did it so don't look too closely! Here is the link. http://www.apqs.com/quiltboard/viewthread.php?tid=8455&page=1#pid73001
meg_marsh
I have one - no pictures, but a panto was used that reflected tall flames. The flames somewhat followed the design of the bargello and thus emphasized the bargello pattern. The quilt is not available right now so can not take pictures - sorry. I really like the look. Renae
I have 2 bargello quilts and have both of them done with and edge to edge panto. They are done with a feather designs and look great........not sure I have pics........I will check on that. I know I did have but my puter has crashed a couple of times since then. luv2kwilt
Gorgeous Renae!! Thanks for the pic! Looks like some sort of Linda Taylor Feather design or something. Great suggestions!!! Thanks Mary Beth, I will look at web shots for some inspiration. I have dial-up, so it takes forever, that's why I started here, but that is a wonderful idea! I love the idea of doing a panto, I guess I just assumed I needed to some sort of freehand design. Thanks all! Heidi, beautiful jackets!!! I need one of those! JudyLynn
We were at a quilt show this past weekend and a bargello quilt was on display and it also was a panto quilted quilt. Just an all over swirl design, really gave it a lot of movement. I, like you, thought that would not work but it was so- so beautiful. We all owed and awed over it. My granddaughter just chose that pattern for the quilt I am making for her. Do you have a pattern or some helpful hints? Thank you so much!
