Hollyrw
I'm going to cc the pink & green squares, put some feathers in the open areas of the borders and treat each block differently. I don't have plans for all the blocks yet but I'm printing them out so I can play with the design on the plane to Ireland.

chickenscratch
Holly, how big did it end up being? Are you going to add any kind of outer borders?
Hollyrw
It's 72x96. I thought about adding a final 6 inch border of muslin for lots of open quilting space. Right now I'm leaning toward just leaving it the way it is and binding it with the pink.
smockingRN
Holly, I LOVE your top! Would you mind if I copied your idea? It made a good size top with just a few pieced blocks.
Hollyrw
Go right ahead. It's not really my idea, I've seen it in a couple of places.

sewingjunky
How cool, I was just posting that it would be neat to see some quilt tops. And to think this beautiful quilt has one of my blocks in it! I am honored. Thanks Brendalee

chickenscratch
Mine aren't all together yet, but I've started working on the alternate setting blocks. Take a look at this and tell me what you think. It is only a small part of the overall arrangement, but it gives me an idea of what it will look like. I decided to go scrappy with the cornerstones and chimneys. NOw I'm not sure I like it.
