georgia
I could never be accused of finishing my taxes early instead of quilting ...... so, my question this year is: how does one handle the donation quilts we have done during the year? 2005 has been a particularly heavy donation year for me with Hurricane Katrina, Quilts of Valor, Cancer Research causes, guild quilt cupboard, etc. Those of you "in the know" come to the aid of those with our noses "at the hopping foot" or in quilt books. thanks, georgia
JudyL
Georgia: My understanding is you can deduct the actual out of pocket expenses including fabric, thread, batting, shipping expenses, etc. but nothing for your time. I am not a trained professional!
