Lauras
I have been asked to make a quilt in memory of someone, and was planning on making it out of batiks. I read somewhere that batik is difficult to quilt. Have any of you had problems quilting batiks on your APQS machines? My new Millenium arrives in about a week, and I have no idea how it will handle it. Thanks everyone!
CherylUribe
I have never had a problem quilting through batik's. These machines are industrial and meant to easily quilt through most materials. You'll be fine, and we are here for you!

MarieBrewer
Last night I finished a batik backed quilt and used cotton instead of a poly blend and a 3.5 needle. It worked out great. It was a challenge as one of the seams gave way and I had to hand stitch it back together. I'm hoping I can survive the day w/4 hours of sleep. I did have to increase the tension of the top thread at least one half turn. Good Luck!!
