Tracy G
I noticed that all 4 wheels on the top carriage are all leaking grease. Some worse than others. How can this happen? Betty isn't even 6 months old and she has hardly had any use? What is the cure?
Quilting Heidi
contact Amy and see what she says. It sounds to me like there might be too much pressure on your wheels. I did have 1 wheel go bad but not all 4. If you end up having to replace your wheels you should look into Edgeriders! Definitely worth the investment. sewlinzi
I think it's a slow thing to do with pressure and often made worse by travelling air freight (some physics involved there). Take photos and send to Amy....
KathG
Hi Tracy funny you should mention this as noticed brownish oil on one of my carriage wheels a few days ago. I have to be honest I did not think much about it. I have just my checked the other wheels and some of them have oil on them around the screw in the middle of the wheel. Is it anything to worry about.? I also wish Edgerider would hurry up an release the Lenni wheels, they seem to have been testing them forever. IBQLTN2
I called and asked APQS about this as I had two wheels from the same side leaking grease and was told unless it seems to be causing the machine to drag or be stiff moving that I should not worry about it. They may need to be replaces at some time but that they would probably work just fine for possibly years unless I was to notice some problems with movement or a continual leakage over time. JustSewSimple
If edgerider wheels make the Lenni more slippery on the tracks I might not be able to control her. She is like butter now. Am I just lucky? I figured they were all this way. Now, the heavier machines, I can understand need them.
