Anyhoo we will be in Honolulu from the 20th -29th Sept. 2010(excited 1st time to Hawaii) and was wondering if there are any Quilt shows or LA classes, during this time ??? I don't know anything about longarms on Oahu but there is someone from the forum who lives in Mililani. Perhaps she will have some information for you. I used to live on the Big Island and visited Honolulu often. You will find a couple stores with quilting fabric in Kaimuki (an area near the University and not too far from Waikiki): a quilt shop called Calico Cat and a wonderful shop with apparel and quilting fabrics called Kaimuki Dry Goods. There are also a few locations of Fabric Mart where you will find some quilting fabrics and tons of Hawaiian prints. Many are 50 cotton/50poly however, so read the labels carefully.
