Janice
I just finished a rather large wallhanging using a lot of metallic thread. It looks great on the front but I have lots of little loops on the back. The stitching looks o:k, just left loops between the stitches on the back in numerout places. I loosened tension & used a larger needle. Thread is Superior varigated, gold, silver, red, geen. Lots of places it sewed beautifully but there are places I need redo. Can you help me cure the problem I am having? thanks, Janice

Loops on the back mean your TOP tension is TOO loose. Try tightening up the top tension a bit until you get better results. --- You might need to LOOSEN your bobbin tension a wee bit in order to accommodate the TIGHTER top tension.--- After tweaking the tension, if you get some thread breakage, try running a few beads of Sewer's Aid on the thread. Keep experimenting. You can do it.
Quilting Heidi
Perfect advice Shana! I always start with a pretty loose bobbin and then tighten the top from there.
