kwoodman
I recently purchased a used Ultimate II. I can not even get the bobbin thread to pull up to the top of my practice piece. It's almost like its not catching. I've tried cleaning the bobbin area. I dont know what to try next. Someone please help!
mrmquilt
You might have to lower the needle bar which is part of the timing. There is a hole in the front "needle end" of the machine, the screw for the needle bar is in there and a little tricky to get to. Check the timing first before you do anything. Hopefully you got a notebook with the machine if not hopefully someone else can help more. Michele
mrmquilt
Another thing, sounds stupid but I've done it, is your needle turned the proper way. with the notch away from the front?? Michele
witha'K'quilting
If you turn the flywheel by hand...it turns up..in a clockwise motion. Definitely check to make sure the needle is in properly. There is a groove running along the front of the needle. The thread lays in the groove..and the hump is in the back.
busybee
Silly but works, check to see if your quilt bar is low enough to the machine bed . If it is too high it will not pickup correctly or not at all.
kwoodman
THANK YOU EVERYONE!! I made sure I do have the needle in correctly. I will keep trying until I get it to work. It's probably something little & simple I'm overlooking.
Bonnie
If you like to call I owned one of these for about 14 years. Maybe I can help over the phone.
