Mrs.A
Hi Anne: I live in Tucson...a very dusty place but I haven't ever covered my George. I wonder if those with other APQS models ever cover them? Care to weigh in, anybody?
meg_marsh
I only cover my babies (Millie & Innova) when I am leaving town for a period of time and then just with a sheet - enough to keep the dust out but not so that air can not flow. Neher-in-law5
I haven't covered George with a cover--maybe piles of stuff, but not a cover! I don't cover my sewing machines either. Should cover the serger but don't think to often.
Shar Schmutz
I cover all my machines when I leave the window open overnight and when I leave for an extended time. I have no idea if I should but it makes me feel better.

JudyLynn
I have always kept my George covered up..more so my cats would not sleep on him. Houdini likes to crawl inside and sleep on the bed of the machine...she likes to hide....and Hey likes to chew cords. But I cover all my machines, as well as unplug them when not in use. Recently made a cover for George for a challenge I was involved with...embroidered on the front is I'D RATHER BE QUILTING...it looks better than the towel I had thrown over him. Sparkle
The only machine I ever cover is my serger. Only because I rarely use it. I have two sewing machines, and they are used almost every day. I don't cover my long arm either for the same reason----I guess if I was going away for months, I might cover them with a sheet or beach towel. I think some of the machine covers I've seen quilters make are cute, but if I made one, it would never get used or seen----
