The Last Stitch
Im a designer at heart, a piecer by choice, and a quilter by default. Im trying to find an Asian applique design that I saw in a magazine a couple of years ago. It was a full-page ad and highlighted a crane with some Asian grass/flowers on an asymetrical center. Can anyone tell me where to find such a design (or something similar?)

mestuart
Wow, Wow and Wow, that is amazing. Is there a pattern? Not that I'll ever get around to it, but the option could be there. LOL THanks for showing the quilt.
LadyLake
I know that you are looking for a particular pattern from the magazine, but this site has an abundance of Japanese-inspired setting designs that may give you something to start from: http://www.shiboridragon.com/Quilt-Patterns1.htm
ffq-lar
Check out-- www.barbarashapel.com Click on her Gallery and see her beautiful thread paintings. These aren't applique, but may be an inspiration. I like "In Hiding".
