LadyLake Posted September 15, 2011 Report Share Posted September 15, 2011 That's a beautiful quilt, Janice. I wonder if some cedar boughs might work, either in the border or on the windows. Another idea would be to create an outline of the cardinal bird, and then quilt it as an angled shadow in some of the attic window sills. You could also create a small traveling design out of the cardinal bird beaks, similar to the bamboo sashing design, and quilt them at the same angle as the sills, on each sill.
