AHuffman
I just finished a custom Dresden Plate with baskets. Each plate was positioned slightly differently and I was looking to practice a bit on my over the top formal feathers.
AHuffman
Here's a shot of the back so you can see the CC's in the plate and the curls in the points, along with a petal flower in the center. Oh, and all those feathers in the setting triangles.

AHuffman
The two inner maroon borders and the skinny white borders are the only IQ bits.
AHuffman
I like the inner maroon border. The ribbons in the design mimic the hearts in the skinny white border and the freehand ribbons I put in the baskets curling out from the bows. AHuffman
The inner baskets dictated how I treated the baskets in the corners. I did all the spines and feathers freehand. I sorta WANTED to freehand feathers on this one- what a concept, eh? The block design in the 2 on point squares that emerge from where the basket blocks join up is also IQ. Boni
What a basket of treats! I love the ribbons, and the feather boa with the little curls. I'm counting thread colors...white on white, maroon on maroon, blue on blue? Lots to analyze...it must have taken you a week or more? Lovely!
