RoseCity Quilter
Today I tried my new bobbin-cam to stitch out a panto from the front and had great success! I aimed the 2nd camera at my lazer pointer and away I went! I did pick a easy one to try 1st, and it felt kinda strange for the 1st row, but then I found my grove and was very pleased. Here is a picture of the back (stitching shows on the back better on this quilt).

RoseCity Quilter
Oh, and yesterday I used it in the same way with a CL big board. I also used the pop up system I got for the cross hatch board, but another board. Because of the camera, I was able to see where I was going and work from the front, using the pop up system to move the stylus, all from the front... quietlifeaz
Ardelle: I am most interested in the camera from a stitch quality perspective (bottom of the quilt). Can you tell me what your experience has been with the viewing of the stitch (without having to look under the quilt). I spend way to much time under the quilt ..... and if this works well for seeing tension, etc. I just may use my "christmas money" to buy one. Parm
That's fantastic Ardelle, sure can't wait to receive mine, it's on order.:D:D
srichardson
Now I am wishing that I had ordered one from Santa! The stitches look much clearer on the screen that another bobbin cam that I have seen. It is a great idea especially for those of us that wear progressive lens that aren't designed for looking at things when you are upside down. I find the under camera, fabulous, I pause a couple of times a row and glance up and that's all it takes. Picture is very clear.
quietlifeaz
thanks, how hard was it to install?
Wingsthing
I installed one the other day and it took between 10 and 15 minutes. Cameras, camera mounts and power mounting box are help on with a heavy duty Velcro. Monitor is held in place with a double sided pad. There is no drilling or defacing and machine in any way. The lower camera is mounted just left of your bobbin. The upper camera is mounted to look at anywhere on the top of the quilt. It can be pointed at the panto or the needle
quietlifeaz
I just can't visualize "mounted just left of your bobbin". I have a thread cutter just left of my bobbin.
Wingsthing
You could go to the right of the bobbin if you wish. You would have to route the cable under the lower arm. Becarefull to tie the cable up so it don't get caught on anything.

quiltinchicks
Ardelle, Is it hard with the panto to 'look ahead' for your pattern? Would it still work if you were doing a really big panto? Thanks for showing it mounted on the machine and the panto on the screen! thank you!
