ending stitches

Recommended Posts

Bonnie,

I end my stitching and pull the machine head away from where I stitched, leaving about a 6" tail.  I pull on the upper thread and pull up the bobbin thread.  I use a pin to pull the loop up.  Hold both threads together and tie in a knot, pushing the knot down to just above the quilt top.  I use a self threading needle and put the needle back into the last stitch, burying the tail between the top and backing, into the batting about an inch.  Give a good pull and trim thread right down to the top.  Sounds like more work than it is for me.
