quiltmonkey
Ha! Well.........I think that guy was named after the machine! LOL Now it's a "chicken or egg" question... which one came first?
Oma
I thought George was Mary Fons' husband and we used to see his shirt with pieces cut out and sewn on a quilt with a longarm and Mary and Liz with a big "knowing" smile on their faces. Shows you how much I know...lol.
quiltmonkey
Hi Oma! LOL I have no idea but I doubt that George is married to any of those gals. I think George is one of those big time commercial actors from hollywood, and he's got himself an agent, too; he probably has a nice house in the hills with a swimming pool and one of those little pomeranian dogs. It's a hollywood thing, ya know!
DawnCavanaugh
George's name "came to" one of the APQS owners as a way to keep the "fun" in quilting! Lots of people think that George is married to either Liz or Marianne. However, his wife in real life, Jean Nolte (editor of Fons and Porter's Love of Quilting magazine) might have a thing or two to say about that. Busy Quilting
Oh Dawn you just broke the Hollywood Dream story, we could have had so much fun. I'm sure Liam would have been able to come up with a good story for it's origin too,
