cegates
I get great stitches and wonderful tension with heavier threads like Superior's Omni, but not so much with thinner threads like Superior's SoFine. With the thin threads I have to make the top tension really tight to prevent flat lining on the back, especially with curves going in one direction (not sure which). I use Jamie Wallen's method of setting the bobbin tension, so it is prettyloose. What is my machine trying to tell me? I use a 4.0 needle, would a smaller needle help with this problem? Mrs.A
Carol: Are you asking about thread in the bobbin or top?
whitepinesquilter
Can you loosen your bobbin tension more and see if that helps to alleviate having to increase yourtop so much? Hope you can get it figured out!
