caddyhomes
It worked and then it didn't. All plugs are in, I think, but no upward or downward movement. Just the humm of the motor. Any advice?
Sheagatzi
silly silly question - but did you go as high as you can and it won't go any further? so then when you click the down, it might take a second or two for the legs to 'activate' back down. also, is anything blocking any of your legs - like a rulerbase? (ask me how I know!)
caddyhomes
Dear Sheagatzi: No question is silly! Nothing is blocking the legs. The motor runs until it thinks the legs have reached their limit in height or when lowered, and then clicks a stop. I've doubled checked the wires into each of the legs. LisaC
My wonderful husband said the pump has 1 screw that drives 4 pistons and possibly the motor has become disconnected from the feed screw. You can probably find something on line that instructs you in troubleshooting Suspa Lifts; I assume yours are by Suspa. Hope this helps.
caddyhomes
Dear Lisa: The Suspa website indicates I need a new motor. I've contacted APQS for further advice. We'll see what happens. Meanwhile, I'll get out a stepping stool. Charlotte
Sue E.
This happened to mine quite awhile back and my husband found a fuse that had blown. He was able to replace it and we have never had another problem.

caddyhomes
Dear Sue: Where is the fuse on the hydraulic motor? I'll take a look and see if that is the issue. Charlotte
caddyhomes
Dear all: I fixed it! On Sue's suggestion, I looked for a fuse on the Suspa website manual, and found a chapter on resetting the system. Like a computer, when all else fails unplug it and start again. The M1 and M2 cords are removed, while AC power is still on, and reinserted after a 30 second pause. Worked like a charm. Back, no pun intended, in business.
