worleygig
Hi all, Has anyone spilled blue line eraser on a quilt? How did you clean up, and will it harm or stain? Thanks for any ideas. Linda
ffq-lar
Since a solution of a small amount of baking soda in water has been used for years to instantly remove blue marks, I suspect the line eraser is an alkali solution and won't hurt the fabric. Rinse well or wash and it should be all gone. The sellers state the solution is biodegradable and "safe". Their site states that the only problem they've run across is a tendency to alter the color slightly on red fabrics. But after laundering, the original color returns. LindaSteller
I can't imagine causing any harm, as Linda says. I've pretty much scrubbed the stuff into quilts on my frame to remove blue marks and there's never been any residue. I'm sure once it's been washed, it will be fine.
