CJQ
I had a needle break today. The needle actually dropped out because the screw loosened. I have had this happen before and it really takes me by surprise. The fuse blew which was a first. I changed the fuse and then was having some problems with skipped stitches and thread breakage. Checked for burrs on the bobbin carriage. Now the skipped stitches are only happening on the up side of my piano keys. Any ideas why. Do I need to do some more buffing? Zora
I would check the needle bar height. It's possible it was pushed up just a hair.
HeidiP
If adjusting your needle bar height doesn't work, you may need to retime your machine. Amy has an awesome video on the APQS web. Don't be intimidated. It's not that hard. I love that APQS machines are user friendly!
CJQ
I am finally back up and running after re-timing my machine. That was a first for me and while it wasn't difficult it was nerve racking. Angie was a huge help, along with Amy's video. Now to get back to quilting!
